Everything you need to know to make the most of your sessions

Welcome to Launch Labs

  • The light switch is to the right of the front desk. Feel free to turn on and increase brightness as needed. We ask that you turn off the front set of lights and dim the rear set of lights upon exit.
  • Coffee, tea, drinks, and snacks are complimentary.
  • Scan the QR codes to access our WiFi network.
  • YouTube TV is available for your entertainment on any of the three large TVs. We ask that you turn the TVs off upon exit if you are the last member to leave.
  • If you experience any issues, please reach out to members@launchlabsgolf.com

General Rules

1 Only one person may be in the hitting zone (on turf) at ALL times. Do not enter the hitting zone if someone is already there.
2 Check your surroundings — including backswing and follow-through — before every shot and direct all swings toward the screen.
3 Practice swings on the hitting mat only.
4 Food and drink is okay in the facility as long as you clean up after yourself. Please dispose of food waste outside in the garbage cans in front of the facility.
5 Do not bring or consume any food or drink on the hitting turf.
6 Only use clean clubs, balls, and shoes. Club cleaning station is located near Golden Tee.
7 No spikes allowed on the hitting turf (metal or soft).
8 Children under 18 must be accompanied by a supervising adult at all times.
9 It is the member's responsibility to ensure the front access door is secured when you enter and exit.
10 Guests must be accompanied by a member.

How to Operate a Bay

If the bay is asleep (screen is black, projector is off)
  • Press Spacebar to wake up the computer
  • Follow the on-screen prompt (hit Enter)
  • Click Sign-in
  • Trackman Performance Studio (TPS) will launch
Troubleshooting
  • If TPS software is not open, double-click the orange TPS icon to launch it
  • If TPS fails to launch, try again. If that fails, press CTRL+ALT+DELETE and restart the computer. The PC will restart and automatically re-launch TPS (may take 2–3 minutes).
  • If a TPS mode (Range, Shot Analysis, etc.) is unresponsive to your shots, quit the mode and start again.
Syncing Your Data

With TPS launched, scan the QR code to sync your session data back to Trackman.

Tip: If you don't yet have a Trackman account, create one before your next session and download the Trackman mobile app on iOS or Android.
Exiting & Signing Out
  • To exit any mode, click the Trackman icon on the upper left of the screen, then choose Quit Game
  • Upon completion of your session, sign out of your user profile (located at the bottom left of the screen under Practice)

Practice Modes

Range

Virtual driving range mode, best used for warming up.

Shot Analysis

The best mode for practicing and improving your golf game. This mode enables the Down the Line and Face-on cameras for both righty and lefty golfers.

  • If the camera icon on the top right of the screen is green, the cameras will record.
  • If the cameras show as an orange icon, exit/quit the Trackman software and restart it to recognize the cameras properly.
  • This mode enables Tracy, Trackman's AI coach. If you enable it, Tracy will provide feedback on your swing and guided practice tips.
  • Supports split screen — enable it on the top right corner, then click the four-square icon to switch through data views.
  • Supports Tags — chart your practice sessions (e.g., 7i with strong grip, Chrome Tour ball, TP5x ball, etc.).
Our recommendations: Try all the split-screen views, but start with Video, Club Delivery, Impact, Swing Plane, and Impact Location.
Map My Bag

This mode is key to your long-term use of our facility, but it requires a Trackman login.

  • Once you've created a Trackman login, set up My Bag to map your clubs
  • Trackman will only present club options that are actually in your bag
  • During course play, Trackman can provide caddy-like recommendations on what club to use
Other Practice Modes

In order of our recommendation to explore:

  • Performance Center
  • Target Practice
  • On Course Practice
  • Test Center

Playing Courses

Recommendations for Best Experience
  • Putting — Launch Labs default is auto two-putt outside gimme distance (8'). You can change this to other auto modes, fully manual, or adjust the gimme distance.
  • Course Settings — Adjust wind, fairway firmness, and green firmness to increase or decrease the challenge.
  • Starting Tee — Click anywhere on your player icon to change your starting tee.
During Course Play
  • Trackman will automatically adjust shot results based on your lie (shown in the lower left corner)
  • You can change your tee location on the tee box, do a drone flyover, and adjust where you're aiming using the mouse (lower right corner)

Competitions Mode

This is where you'll find Trackman-hosted competitions in addition to Launch Labs Launch Missions.

Launch Missions rotate every two weeks and consist of 9-hole events, Closest to the Pin, Long Drive and more! Climb the leaderboard today!

We'll send out messaging and post to our socials when there is a Launch Labs hosted event available.

Games Mode

A great mode to get kids of all ages into golf. Plenty of fun options to explore.

Heads up: We recommend staying away from Streets of Neon Putt-Putt — it's quite difficult even for adults!

Additional Amenities

Bluetooth Speaker

Each bay has a Marshall Bluetooth speaker available for your use.

  • Hold down the large gold circle button on top to power on
  • Hold down the small black circle to activate Bluetooth — your device should see it listed as Emberton II
  • Please be courteous of others playing in surrounding bays
  • Please power off the speaker when you're done
Warm-Up Equipment

We've provided yoga mats, foam rollers, and stretch bands to help you warm up before your session.

Putting Practice

A PuttOut station is available for putting practice. Step on the airbags to increase the break/slope of the putt.
